BIG 3 Junior Lacrosse Camp:

The BIG 3 Junior Lacrosse Camp is for youth level players 12-14 years old.  It will run at the same time as the main camp at St. Andrew’s School on an adjacent field.  An experienced staff consisting of college level coaches and players with experience working with younger players will lead the camp and work exclusively with this age group.

What are the Junior Camp “BIG 3”?
Fundamentals - Coaches will work with players to further develop the individual skills that serve as the foundation for any successful lacrosse player.  Catching, throwing, dodging, shooting and individual offense and defense will be covered.

Position Development - Position specific training goes beyond the fundamentals and focuses on the unique skills of each position in lacrosse.  Our coaching staff will work with players at each position (midfield, attack, defense, long stick midfield, face-offs and goal) to develop the skill set required to be effective on the field.

Team Competing - In lacrosse, the “TEAM” concept is just as important as the individual skills of each player.  “BIG 3” players will learn what it takes to be part of a team and compete in a team environment throughout the week in team drills and scrimmages.

In addition to their work on the field each day, junior campers will hear from guest speakers from the college and professional ranks, and work with coaches off the field to develop their lacrosse I.Q. (knowledge of the game).
